Yesterday, a friend of mine lent me his BMW 430xd Gran Coupe so I could drive around town with it and do some errands. When I returned the car, he asked me how I liked it. I said that it drove “just fine”. In reality, driving the car felt like having a numb extremity.

Even though it has none of the technical shenanigans and less hp, I do prefer mine.

Sorry, but I had to get it out. Also sorry for the bad quality of the picture.

Oh thank god. I was worried you were going to say you loved it.

My colleagues has a 440i gran coupe and it’s barely makes it past “meh”. More so when you look at the price.

Aside from Top Fuel and Funny car, NHRA racing sucks. I really like the No Prep stuff that’s gaining in popularity and I hope it pushes the NHRA into making some changes.

I was really, really surprised. My father has an E91 330d and the car IS fun, delivers a ton of feedback through steering (at least compared to the 4 Series).

I get that. Hell I get more fun out of driving a 34 year old VW with like 50hp than my 2011 328 xdrive.

The e90 is nice, like really nice, it’s even still a bit engaging as modern cars go, but it’s still a big heavy(3500+lbs) car that doesn’t have a massive amount of power. It’s also in my opinion to big to really be fun. I have said and always will say that smaller cars are just plain more fun to drive. The BMW has it’s perks sure, it can do donuts, and “drift” on snow or dirt, it feels confident, and solid through a corner. However it doesn’t make me laugh, and smile like the Rabbit and it never will.

also I desperately want a 318ti.
